    Import bank statements

Learn how to import your bank statement into Valerium to centralize transactions, categorize them with rules, and reconcile everything in one place.

Valerium centralizes your transactions from the statement you import — from any bank, with no automatic integration required. Once imported, the statement is available in Transactions, with rule-based categorization and reconciliation.

    How to import a statement

    1. 1Open the Financial module from the sidebar menu and click 'Statement'.
    2. 2Click 'Import statement' and select the CSV file from your bank.
    3. 3Check the column mapping (date, description, amount) and adjust if needed.
    4. 4Review the transactions before confirming the import.
    5. 5Confirm — categorization rules are applied automatically to matching transactions.
    6. 6Go to 'Statement' any time to see the consolidated history.

    Categorization and reconciliation

Once imported, every transaction can be categorized manually or by rules you define once and that apply automatically to future ones. Attach receipts and documents to any transaction to keep everything organized and ready for accounting.

    Automatic bank connection

Today, import works through bank statements (CSV), one bank at a time. Automatic bank connections, which would skip this step, are on our roadmap.

The intelligence that runs your business.
