Keep your account secure
Best practices to protect access to your Valerium account and team.
Valerium handles financial data, contracts, and client information. Protecting platform access is a shared responsibility between Grovic Data and each user. The practices below significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
Use a strong, unique password
Choose a password you do not use on other services. Strong passwords have at least 12 characters and combine uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Password managers (such as Bitwarden or 1Password) help create and store unique passwords without needing to memorize them.
Enable two-factor authentication when available
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of protection: even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access the account without the second factor. When enabled, you will find the option in your account settings.
Review member access periodically
Whenever a collaborator leaves the organization or changes role, review access on the Members screen and remove or adjust permissions. Inactive accounts with broad access are an unnecessary risk.
- Never share your access credentials with other people.
- Do not access the platform on public Wi-Fi without a VPN.
- Log out on shared or temporary-use devices.
- Watch for suspicious emails asking for your credentials — Valerium never requests a password by email.
